Welcome to my blog

I'm no great blogger so I'll just be adding any bits of news or info I think you may be interested in hearing about

We've had such a fantastic response to the shop since we opened on 9th july 2016 that we have decided to take the plunge and move to a larger premises already!!

We will still be located within Holme Grange Craft Village but in Unit 5 (what was The Little Craft Barn/Wool Shop)

The extra space has allowed me to take on even more fabulously talented local crafters to bring you, our customers an even greater range beautful and amazing quality handmade items.

We will also have a bigger range of 'do it yourself' craft kits, for all ages.

AND...as if you need more..... We will be running crafting workshops too!! Lined up so far are...

Crochet for beginners

Crochet for intermediates

Arm knitting

Beaded jewellery making

Bath and body product making

Papercraft, cards and 3D designs

Mixed media artwork

So, a huge thank you to the customers that have visited so far and have given us the confidence to grow, we hope to see you again soon and also to see many of you that are yet to visit.

The Handmade Craft Company is branching out intot the wedding market.

I've always done the odd crafty bits for weddings here and there, but have never really pursued it. After recently having completed a lovely pretty order of wine glass charms for a wedding party and having made a fabric posy ('Frosie' as I now like to call them) for a bridesmaid to carry, I have decided to look into doing more.

I have booked into tmy first Wedding Showcase at the Ely Hotel on 6th September and am very much looking forward to attending.

I need to create some information leaftlets and design my table set up, as well as putting together some samples to take along with me, then I 'm all set...

It's exciting :)

it's been so warm this past couple of weeks. It makes crafting quite tricky!

My fingers have been too slippery to keep hold of anything, I think my floor is covered in beads!!

I've spent some time updating my website and have opened an Etsy shop too.

I've also been booking in Christmas Fairs and have taken my first Christmas Fabric Wreath order for this year. I think I'd better make a start on some Christmas stock soon, it'll be here before we know it!!

Congratulations to Victoria at Oh Sweetie Ltd. She was the lucky winner of my launch competition held at Market Mall UK in Camberley.

Here she is with her prizes, she was very pleased to have won...

"Thank you so much I love it, especially my wine glass charms (I'll have to have a party now...that's a shame :)"

Yesterday was my official launch of ' The Handmade Craft Company'

It was a thrill to set up my stall at the Market Mall UK using my table cloth, table runner and bunting, all co-ordinating with my new branding.

The table looked great with all the stock neatly laid out and got lots of lovely comments from shoppers, other crafters and the event organisers.

It was a fun afternoon, it's always great to meet new customers and to chat to the other stall holders about their businesses and I even got to meet Darth Vadar!! :)

I ran a free prize draw to win a fabric wreath and a set of 6 wine glass charms.

Congratulations goes to Victoria Rawlinson who was the lucky winner. Victoria owns Oh Sweetie and also had a stall at the market.

I must also say thank you to my devoted, understanding and patient husband who came with me to support me :)
