Welcome to my blog

I'm no great blogger so I'll just be adding any bits of news or info I think you may be interested in hearing about

I never thought I'd get so drawn into an awards process but The Muddy Stiletto Awards certainly brought out my competative side!!

I was addicted to checking the cocktail glasses and percentage of votes on their website!!!

The last 30 minutes was hilarious and frantic in the shop, we were grabbing (politely I may add) each customer that was coming in and asking them to log on and vote. It was so close between us and The Corner Shop at Woolhampton, with both of us swapping between 1st and 2nd place every few seconds it seemed!! There were literally decimal places of a percentage in it!!

Then right at the last minute the website went down...aaaaahhhhhh!!!

We then had a long and agonising 5 hour wait to hear confirmation of who had won 1st place........

The results were in.......the screams from myself and Gayle of Enchanting Glass Designs who I share my unit with I'm sure could have been heard for miles around! :)

The Handmade Craft Company had won!!! Hooray!!!!

It means so much to me, the lovely ladies that work for me and to all the talented crafters that hire shelves from me to sell their amazing, different and quirky creations.

A huge thank you goes out to all of our customers, friends and families that supported us by voting and spreading the word :)

The Handmade Craft Company is branching out intot the wedding market.

I've always done the odd crafty bits for weddings here and there, but have never really pursued it. After recently having completed a lovely pretty order of wine glass charms for a wedding party and having made a fabric posy ('Frosie' as I now like to call them) for a bridesmaid to carry, I have decided to look into doing more.

I have booked into tmy first Wedding Showcase at the Ely Hotel on 6th September and am very much looking forward to attending.

I need to create some information leaftlets and design my table set up, as well as putting together some samples to take along with me, then I 'm all set...

It's exciting :)

it's been so warm this past couple of weeks. It makes crafting quite tricky!

My fingers have been too slippery to keep hold of anything, I think my floor is covered in beads!!

I've spent some time updating my website and have opened an Etsy shop too.

I've also been booking in Christmas Fairs and have taken my first Christmas Fabric Wreath order for this year. I think I'd better make a start on some Christmas stock soon, it'll be here before we know it!!

Yesterday was my official launch of ' The Handmade Craft Company'

It was a thrill to set up my stall at the Market Mall UK using my table cloth, table runner and bunting, all co-ordinating with my new branding.

The table looked great with all the stock neatly laid out and got lots of lovely comments from shoppers, other crafters and the event organisers.

It was a fun afternoon, it's always great to meet new customers and to chat to the other stall holders about their businesses and I even got to meet Darth Vadar!! :)

I ran a free prize draw to win a fabric wreath and a set of 6 wine glass charms.

Congratulations goes to Victoria Rawlinson who was the lucky winner. Victoria owns Oh Sweetie and also had a stall at the market.

I must also say thank you to my devoted, understanding and patient husband who came with me to support me :)

After countless hours of work on this website, my facebook page, domain names, email addresses, creating new designs, re-jigging the new designs, re-jigging the new designs again (because I'm just a little bit fussy!), printing, sticking, sewing, photographing, listing and sorting, I am very nearly at the point where I am ready to relaunch 'Emma's Crafts' as brand spanking, shiny new

'The Handmade Craft Company'.

I'm so excited I could burst!!!

The official launch will be at a craft market held by Market Mall UK at High Cross Church, Camberley on Saturday 2nd May 2pm - 4.30pm

I also need to say a HUGE thank you to Jo at Grace and Bramble who has been a tremendous help with the new designs. If you need Wedding or other event stationary or know someone who does you cannot go wrong by contacting Jo - she's amazing!!
